Job Description/Responsibilities
Join our team as a Lead Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk and play a vital role in ensuring seamless warehouse operations. You'll oversee inventory flow, coordinate shipments, lead clerical staff, and drive efficiency in stock management. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to showcase your leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. • Verify and review seals on incoming trucks and containers, ensuring proper procedures are followed before opening them. • Assist daily with checking and verifying received goods to maintain accurate records. • Facilitate the timely and accurate posting of incoming and outgoing items. • Sort, label, and bin goods daily to maintain an organized and efficient storage system. • Support the creation of UTL (Unable to Locate Item) reports as required, ensuring timely submission. • Assist with the coordination and execution of special in-house projects. • Conduct a monthly review of bin space, reorganizing as needed to maximize space utilization. • Support efforts to track down and retrieve hard-to-locate items as needed. • Assign tasks and duties to clerks, ensuring smooth workflow and completion of tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager. • Monitor the completion of team assignments and address any performance gaps. • Identify and report breaches of company safety policies, providing verbal guidance to team members as necessary. • Complete and submit incident reports as required to document workplace events. • Assist with the daily checking and preparation of wholesale goods for dispatch. • Act as a supervisor when required, providing leadership and support to the team.
Job Requirements
Qualification/Experience: • Diploma in Business Administration • JAGAS Automotive Certification (an asset) • Three (3) years related work experience
